Ok, So i feel like i am bugging everyone with these posts, but I have another question. I contacted my child's pediatrician today about referring us the the Mayo Clinic, and he said that it wouldn't be a problem. I read the post about Dr. Whitman for dermatology, and I am going to try to set an appointment up with her. What I am wondering is if anyone has seen an ENT down there before. I would like to see someone about Carter's ears that has dealt with LI before...Thanks everyone, this has been SUCh a great big help for Carter and I!!!

Hi. I had posted to you about the Mayo Clinic. You do not need a referral to see her. And she will get you in real quick. I did not see an ENT there, but she I am sure could refer you to one. Maybe when you make the appt with her ask the receptionist if she can direct you in the right way.
I don't know how far away you are from the clinic, but if you need a hotel we stayed at the one that is connected to the Clinic, it was real nice. And you do not need to even go outside at all they have an indoor walk way. Also the Ronald McDonald house is right down the street, but you can not make a reservation, you just have to show up and see if they have anything available.
I am so glad you are going to get to see her. She is wonderful. I am so thankful that Karla had refereed me to her. Keep us all informed on how it goes.
If you lived here I would refer you to our son's ENT. Dakota will be one on Sept 15 and has LI. The team of ENT Specialist are great and one of them that he see's there has dealt with a couple of other cases.

Shandra and Jenngist:

Who do you go to for an ENT in the Chicago area?

We were going to see an ENT when we were at Mayo's in July, but it did not work out for us. I would ask Dr Witman right away about it. It didn't work for us due to time.

We LOVE Dr Witman...she is great!!!

Hi karla

We go to Suburban Ear Nose and Throat Specialist. Its Dr Myers Campbell Miller and Lagizio. They are out of Nile, Park Rige/DesPlaines. They have office all over. I have used them for the last 20 yrs. My oldest who is 20 had to have surgery every month from the time she was born to be able to breath. I have the utmost trust etc in them they are wonderful. I don't have the number off hand, but if you call Luthern General Hospt they will give you the number,

We love Dr Witman also

You will love Dr Witman! She is the sweetest person. Let us know how the appt goes for you all.

I see you are from MN. How far are you from Rochester?

Blessings
Karla
