sorry for this late post
wow how mad is that G16 skin repair at £50 for just 200ml
Dermal Therapies Alpha Hydroxy Lotion is a snip at £16.50 for 474ml bottle from Advanced Care Products in Ipswich
i been using hydroxy lotion for a number of years (2008) and like many find it has changed my life
it has cleared my skin, and at 55 now i still find new things that have an amazing effect, i have a few postings on this site with more detail so please do read and comment if you like
i always remember my doctor saying to get out in the sun, on the beach, in the sea, vitamin D and the salts and sand will help, but sadly our UK climate doesn't
with my reasonable skin (post hydroxy lotion) i decided this year to have a day on the beach and after a good 5-6 hours i did get a little frazzled and ended up a pink lobster, pretty much all over
so i returned home to hydrate, shower and drink, i spent a few uncomfortable days at home and eventually i peeled like crazy, but my skin below was fantastic, like it never has been in 55 years
ok so sunbathing carries all the usual health warnings, so know your limitations, but my own view on it is this, its no worse than the side effects of most meds and treatments, all carry a risk, with exception to alpha hydroxy lotion and i'm sure a few others to mention
what we put on our skin, generally keeps it hydrated and some will aid to exfoliation, but we are generally trying to keep that upper layer of skin, so why not shed it by using the sun, tried and tested for thousands of years, i might have considered the sun my enemy before, but not now
once in a while can't hurt, but obviously be careful, keep hydrated and wear sun lotion, hope to hear from anyone soon
