my 6 year old son finally has a diagnosis of x linked icthyosis.
has anyone applied for and got disability allowance in the uk of anything.
any help or advice would be very gratefully received

Have you contacted the Ichthyosis Support Group?
Ichthyosis-en-Confetti Type 2

Hi, I receive mid rate care for my 3 year old who also has XLI he does have speech and communication issues as well though so am not sure how much that helped us get the DLA. We got someone from our local welfare rights to fill the form in but feel free to ask me any questions etc xx

hi juste

we sent off the forms but was refused so im wondering what we need to put to change that.

if you dont mind me asking, how bad is your sons speech and communication issues? do you think that made the difference to the claim?
what other things did you say on ur forms?
