Hi Guys! It's been about a year since I've been on this site. Right now my daughter is at Camp Dermadillo. I was wondering if any of you had children that are attending - I would love to see you in person at pick up on Friday! My daughter actually got in because of her nevus, not IV, her derm doesn't answer many ?s about the IV because it's a very mild case. However, it's more concerning to my daughter than her nevus because her skin is so sensitive. She also HATES her lotions and when I have to slather her up because she refuses to, she cries about how much she hates her skin condition. I think part of it is that is when she voices her frustration about her birthmark too, but will not say she doesn't like her birthmark. I'm sure there's a term for that (Transferance? Avoidance?)
Guess I got carried away... just wondering about the camp! smile
Mom to 4 beautiful daughters. Youngest has Ichthyosis Vulgaris. She also has a (nevus) birthmark on her face.
