My son Kenny has the flu and has had it for five days now. Because he can't sweat are you supposed to treat it differently? I am trying to keep him hydrated but today was the first day he didn't want to really eat or drink anything. He has been running a low grade fever the whole time so i am worried about him not being able to sweat it out.
Thank you for your help!

My name is Candace. My son, kenny was born May 19, 2009 diagnosed with Lamellar Ichthyosis. My daughter Chloe was born June 4, 2011 unaffected.

All I've done with Casey is get her to drink lots of fluids. And we let her run around without clothes to keep as cool as possible. Tepid baths will help as well.
Hope the handsome little guy feels better soon!
Mom to Casey born Feb 17/08(?LI/CIE), Sara born Feb 18/06, and Kaitlyn born July 2/03
Casey has been tested positive for a genetic mutation in the ICHTHYIN gene (which is indicative of either LI or CIE)
