Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to post a few pictures from our Halloween night. We had a great time, and even got to spend it with my little nephew (seen in the last picture with Dane). Dane's been asking to go trick-or-treating every night since! He really got into it.

I hope you all had a fun night!

Actually, my nephew is in the first photo. The last photo is of my three kids...Chandler, Cade and Dane. My husband is dressed up like Woody with my kids, and the other is of the kids at the neighbor's house.

The posted in reverse order.

Dane's skin is looking soooooo fantastic! My husband is looking over my shoulder and he said he couldn't even tell that he had ichthyosis. Are you doing anything different?

All the kids look great! Cute costumes!

Thanks, Courney! That made my day. Actually, we are using Triamcinolone all over his body in order to help his skin barrier with all of our bouts of MRSA. He's on an antibiotic right now for that, which really helps clear up his skin. Up close, he looks very dry, but much less flaky/scaly. His feet are caked up with skin, but we're scrubbing them as best as we can. The MRSA has been a total nightmare. We're still hoping for some sort of resolution to it. For now, he takes daily bleach baths and ends up on antibiotics every 4 weeks, as this is when he starts to get "over-colonized". We're not losing hope. We're still waiting for a diagnosis. We may be for a very long time. Until then, we just keep trucking along, thanking God for every little blessing that comes our way!

I loved the pictures of Julia at the Halloween party. What a cute little "Stinker"!

Thank you! And yes, the holidays do creep up on us! I better get started with my Christmas shopping! Dane's birthday is the first day of winter (Dec. 21) so that makes the holidays even busier!

I remember the first time i took my son trick or treating.. it was a few years ago.. and every time we went to a door that had a dog in the background he said he wanted that puppy instead of candy.. we made a deal that when it was time to go puppy shopping we would do this again.. unfortunately we haven't been trick or treating since.. we just go to church parties and stuff.. lol just a funny thing i thought i would share.. thank you!

Suzanne,
Sorry for the late comment but I have to say what an absolute cutie Dane is in his costume, and what a cheeky smile in the last one!(mmm, I know that look!)His brother and sister look fabulous too. Danes skin looks sensational despite all the dramas of MRSA - wow! I rarely write on BB but am always keen to hear about his progress and whether you have received any further info about a diagnosis - good luck

Hi Francesca,

Thank you so much for your very kind words. I think we all feel like we can celebrate when we get our children to that 2 year old mark. As for a diagnosis...we're still waiting. They pretty much ruled out NS, but are very perplexed by his case. Right now we're waiting for KID testing, although Dane does not to appear to have any hearing impairment, and did not present at birth....however he does have keratitis which requires me to put drops in his eyes @2 times a day. Once these test results come back, I'm not sure where we're going to go from there. His last skin biopsy looks more like a psoriasis than an atopic derm....however his itching would make me beg to differ!

Anyway....life goes on in the meantime. I'm so grateful for his life. He's got such a fun personality. He gives all of us so many laughs a day! He's worth all of the heartaches that we've experienced. Now if we could just get rid of MRSA we'd be home free. We're still working with specialists on that one!

I'll keep you posted.

-Suzanne
