Anyone here have experience using this medication on a child? Our 7 year old (he has a rare form of ich called keratosis follicularis spinulosa decalvans) isn't responding well to otc eye lubricants to combat his dry eyes and photophobia. His opthamologist is recommending we try restasis.

Yes, I use restasis and it has helped tremendously with my dry eye. I have CIE and both my eyes had to operated for my drooping lids and corneal abrasions. My doctor recommended to use this and it is the best medication.

Thanks for the reply. We started him on it a few weeks ago and it seems to have improved his symptoms alot. I worry putting a child on 'new' medications; they don't have a long term side effect track record. But its better than the alternatives.
